This part of my blog is all about the things I collect or the things I make myself. I love so many things, I paint and draw and want to learn oils and pastels. I knit and crochet but want to learn tatting. I embroider and can turn my hand to most things given a chance. So much still to learn and do. I live in hope of some day reading all my books, learning all I want to learn and now I am learning to blog. You will often find my original poems, poor as they are I offer them here. I also appreciate other people art and will feature things I find that I have enjoyed. That includes pictures of fairies and fantasy or maybe just anything beautiful.
I try to use my own photo's as much as possible, sometimes I borrow from the web. If I inadvertently use your picture without giving credit, please do let me know and I will either credit or remove it, I hope you will do the same with mine.
If you wish to leave comments on my blog you can do that by joining google if you do not have a blog yourself, please comment if you can I appreciate that.

The Queens Hats....

The queen has always had an awesome variety of hats. She does reuse them and often will wear the same outfit in different places. I would love to see her wardrobe. Imagine caring for it all. That would be a dream job. queenshatsjpg She used to have all her clothes designed by Norman Hartnell. Now I believe she has several designers including one that is a live in. I could be wrong there. Her hats are designed to make her stand out in a crowd and must have a brim that leaves her face showing for photographers. How kind of her to care. I am not so sure I would. lovelylady The colours should flatter her and they usually do. When one has as many engagements as she does it must be difficult to make things look fresh and differnt. wedding-hat-Queen-Elizabeth She manages perfectly though and I am sure that is a credit to her designers. queenhats She always looks wonderful and fresh and new. queengetstheprize I think she looks her very best in pale colours, especially pink. She seems to favour blue. queenshats2jpg She looks good in just about everything. She has her own style and its classic Photobucket I often wonder about her shoes. With all the standing she does I hope she doesn't have to wear new ones all the time.

  3. I think you're right, she does look best in pink! These are some great hats, I like the top left one in the bottom set of four—it looks likes whipping cream, or cotton candy!
