This part of my blog is all about the things I collect or the things I make myself. I love so many things, I paint and draw and want to learn oils and pastels. I knit and crochet but want to learn tatting. I embroider and can turn my hand to most things given a chance. So much still to learn and do. I live in hope of some day reading all my books, learning all I want to learn and now I am learning to blog. You will often find my original poems, poor as they are I offer them here. I also appreciate other people art and will feature things I find that I have enjoyed. That includes pictures of fairies and fantasy or maybe just anything beautiful.
I try to use my own photo's as much as possible, sometimes I borrow from the web. If I inadvertently use your picture without giving credit, please do let me know and I will either credit or remove it, I hope you will do the same with mine.
If you wish to leave comments on my blog you can do that by joining google if you do not have a blog yourself, please comment if you can I appreciate that.

Old Drawings...............

Me and Danielle. I did this from a photo by hand, no trace or light box. I try to do all my drawing from scratch. I now wonder why. So far I have not done it any other way but when I had the watercolour class the teacher traced or used a light box or projector. He said if you do a building then it needs to be accurate. I thought that was cheating but I guess its considered acceptable. Now I dont see so well I might just try that from now on.

Trouble is all my pictures that I have saved are under glass and I was too lazy to undo them to take a photo but maybe some day I will redo them. For now this is a copy of an add in a magazine. I can no longer remember what it was about but I loved the picture and it reminds me of all my babies.

  1. Hi Janice,

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment on the hearts. They would be very pretty in blue and white, with metallic threads.

The drawing of the baby sucking its thumb is so sweet. We have one granddaughter, 8 months old, and she sucks her thumb to go to sleep. I love it.

  2. Your drawings are incredible. You are a very talented artist indeed!

  3. This last one is so very true and have loved it from the moment I saw it way over on WLS.

Please leave a comment I love to hear from you
