The lighted up houses and trees.
The beauty and glitter, the candles and tinsel.......its all so lovely. What on any other occasion would seem maybe tacky, it just looks right.
The tree decorations for me, take me back to other times. Memories of friends and family no longer here. I have several ornaments from my childhood and some that were gifts of people who are gone.
It remains my favourite time of year.
It is a good time of the year to remember past friends and family who are no longer here.

Your Christmas images are beautiful. They capture the magic of the season. There really is magic at Christmas. I have a sign that I put in my kitchen last year, it says "all hearts come home for Christmas", I believe that even though a loved one can not be with us in body at Christmas, their spirit will still be with us.

It's my favorite time of year too ;o) It's very magical! I feel it in the air! I love being outside, in the cold, with all the lights around and the stars shining bright. The air is so fresh and it is so quiet! I love it ;o)
