Today was the day for Poodle hair cuts and so I took a few minutes to visit my favourite Thrift shop that is right near the Poodle Parlour. Naturally I found stuff. I usually do. I don't go as often as I used to. They put their prices up for one thing and for another I just do not need any more "stuff" I must get rid of things this year. So why am I buying more? I don't know, because I can't help it?...........Maybe at least I can get rid of a bunch of stuff this year when I have my sale.
Meanwhile, check these out
I love that little dish and it fits right in.
Teapots, well, I can't leave a nice teapot behind. I do not actually use teapots. You would think being English I would would'nt you.
I found a spot for that too. This little set will be a bit more difficult though. It is a child size tea set.
I found a butter dish too. I have one but when it is being washed it is nice to have a back up. I love glass and so this was a must have.
The last thing is a bowl, I can always use those and this is one of the "button" glass designs. Always pretty and useful. This is the back.
and the front
At Christmas I use things like this to put my cheeseballs in to give as gifts. Pretty glass plates and so on that I don't need back and can be useful to the receiver.
This part of my blog is all about the things I collect or the things I make myself. I love so many things, I paint and draw and want to learn oils and pastels. I knit and crochet but want to learn tatting. I embroider and can turn my hand to most things given a chance. So much still to learn and do. I live in hope of some day reading all my books, learning all I want to learn and now I am learning to blog. You will often find my original poems, poor as they are I offer them here. I also appreciate other people art and will feature things I find that I have enjoyed. That includes pictures of fairies and fantasy or maybe just anything beautiful.
I try to use my own photo's as much as possible, sometimes I borrow from the web. If I inadvertently use your picture without giving credit, please do let me know and I will either credit or remove it, I hope you will do the same with mine.
If you wish to leave comments on my blog you can do that by joining google if you do not have a blog yourself, please comment if you can I appreciate that.

I do love all your 'stuff', and I was a collector of so many things. At the time I had bought a big house on a lake and had plenty of room to decorate so I had a ball. My situation is definitely changed and I don't have that kind of room, but most of all I can't imagine having to clean all that 'stuff'. But I still have a hard time walking away from thrift stores and flea markets.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea, putting your food gifts in a pretty bowl! Like you, I love teapots but don't really use one. It's so much quicker to pop a cup in the microwave, especially when it's just for one. But they are pieces of art in their own right!
ReplyDeleteYou really find some gorgeous stuff Janice! I would have to look at our thrift stores almost everyday, to get the good stuff. They get picked over so fast. I noticed ours have put up the prices too! Big Hugs!
