This part of my blog is all about the things I collect or the things I make myself. I love so many things, I paint and draw and want to learn oils and pastels. I knit and crochet but want to learn tatting. I embroider and can turn my hand to most things given a chance. So much still to learn and do. I live in hope of some day reading all my books, learning all I want to learn and now I am learning to blog. You will often find my original poems, poor as they are I offer them here. I also appreciate other people art and will feature things I find that I have enjoyed. That includes pictures of fairies and fantasy or maybe just anything beautiful.
I try to use my own photo's as much as possible, sometimes I borrow from the web. If I inadvertently use your picture without giving credit, please do let me know and I will either credit or remove it, I hope you will do the same with mine.

Thrifting again..................

We had to take the poodles to the groomers this evening. It was at 5.30. I didn't think the thrift shop would be open but it was, open till 7 she said. So you guessed it. I did find a few things.
I liked this plate.

If I put a glass ball in the center it makes a nice flower right?
I got 3 flower plates for 4.00. Not bad, they will make nice centers. Two pink and a yellow.

This tea pot was very cute, the lid is stuck on so it has to be a garden project and thats OK. Enough of keeping things around just because they are pretty. So now I will be looking for a vase and pedestal to put this on.

I was not going to do anymore but changed my mind. I need the fixtures though in order to finish these. I do have some copper pipe and I think tomorrow I may see what I can do.
I also want to make some garden signs..........just simple things but I have to find the wood. I bet if I look in the basement I will find all sorts of things. Gerry has a day off work tomorrow so I may send him off in search. Otherwise I will go to the hardware shop and pick up what I need. Will post results when done. Happy thrifting
